LUMO OPTICS

Privacy Policy

Lumo Optics LLC (“Lumo,” “we,” “us”) makes field instruments and runs the website at lumooptics.com. This policy explains what information we collect when you visit the site or join our early-access list, how we use it, and the choices you have. We keep it short because we keep the data we collect short.

What we collect

We don’t sell products through this site yet, so we don’t collect payment or shipping details here. We don’t run advertising trackers or analytics scripts on the site.

How we use it

We use your email address to send you Lumo product news: the launch date, early-access and first-run details, and occasional updates about the Caldera monocular and future instruments. Product news only — no clutter. We use technical log data to operate, secure, and troubleshoot the site.

Who handles it for us

We use a small number of service providers to run things: Klaviyo stores our email list and sends our emails; Netlify hosts the website. They process data on our behalf under their own privacy and security commitments. When you submit the form, your email goes to Klaviyo, and Klaviyo may set a cookie in your browser as part of that submission. We don’t sell your information and we don’t share it with anyone else for their marketing.

Your choices

Keeping it safe

The site is served over HTTPS and we limit access to the list to the people who need it. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect what you give us and we collect as little as we can.

Children

The site isn’t directed at children under 16 and we don’t knowingly collect information from them. If you think a child has given us an email address, tell us and we’ll delete it.

Changes

If we change this policy we’ll update the date at the top. Material changes will also be noted on this page.
