Optics, finally,
in color.

Every monocular on the market ships in black, gray, or FDE — then waits for you to pay someone else to make it yours. The Scout comes in twelve factory finishes, cut and anodized before it ever leaves the line. The cerakote shop charges $200 to do the one thing we already did.

Why Lumo

Black, gray, and FDE aren't a design decision. They're the absence of one.

Walk into any optics aisle and it reads like a filing cabinet — the same three shades, stacked floor to ceiling, as if "tactical" were the only acceptable adjective left. Somewhere along the way, color became an aftermarket problem: something you paid extra for, after the fact, from a guy with an airbrush and a two-week lead time.

We think that's backwards. Color is a decision made on day one — at the same time as the glass, the chassis, and the seals — by people who think the optic you reach for every weekend should look like something you actually want to reach for.

$0 cerakote markup — the finish was never an afterthought
ED glass on every unit, not reserved for a flagship tier

The Craft

Three things we wouldn't compromise on.

01 — Glass

ED glass, standard

Extra-low dispersion elements and fully multi-coated optics — usually reserved for instruments twice the price. We chose the glass first, then built everything else to fit around it.

02 — Chassis

Machined, not molded

A CNC-machined magnesium-alloy body, anodized in twelve finishes before assembly. Lighter than aluminum, and a different category from the polymer shells most monoculars hide under a rubber sleeve.

03 — Seal

Built for the field

Nitrogen-purged and rated IPX7 — submersible, not just "weather-resistant." Fog and dust stop being something you think about.

Next in the Lineup

Same glass. A sharper mission.

Field Series brings the same ED glass, machined chassis, and color program to red dots and rifle optics — built to Scout's standard, aimed at a different mission.

Same glass standard

ED glass and fully multi-coated optics — the baseline for every Lumo product, including the ones built for the range.

Color, with restraint

A considered colorway program in place of the wall of black and FDE, without losing the seriousness the range demands.

Same promise, different mission

Lifetime warranty and IPX7 sealing carry over without exception. Field isn't a side project — it's the same standard, aimed somewhere new.

A Note From the Founder

Why we started here.

I spent years buying optics in the same three colors, then spending another two hundred dollars and two weeks to make them look like mine. Eventually I stopped asking why nobody made the version I actually wanted, and started building it.

Lumo is designed in the USA and built to our spec overseas. We chose our manufacturing partners the way we chose our glass — by testing, not by guessing — and we'll never call something "Made in USA" that wasn't. You'll always know exactly where your optic was made, because we'll tell you, plainly, on the box and on this page.

— Logan Dutton, Founder, Lumo Optics

The Promise

What you're actually buying.

Lifetime warranty

If it fails under normal use, we fix it or replace it — for as long as you own it. No registration card, no fine print.

30-day field test

Take it out, get it dirty, glass a ridgeline at dawn. If it's not for you, send it back within 30 days for a full refund.

Real materials, named

Magnesium-alloy chassis. ED glass. IPX7 seal. Nitrogen-purged. No "aircraft-grade" hand-waving — just the specs, stated plainly.
